Did all Smith .38 revolvers have smooth grips that were sent out as part of the WWII Lend Lease programs? Would a set of checkered and silver emblemed grips be correct or something aftermarket.
Stumbled across a 2.5" 686, 7 shot, without the lock and has a hammer mounted firing pin. Pretty much LNIB.
Any clue when this was made?
Is it desirable in this configuration?
