Thanks everyone....
So I had a chance to shoot my friends Ruger MKIV Target the other day.
I lived everything about it. It pointed well, balanced well, the trigger was pretty darn good without modification and it was unbelievably accurate.
Long story short....I pick mine up on Saturday.
I wasn't feeling the love with my Buckmark Camper so I sold it off to a friend. I didn't enjoy the feel or balance of the gun and it was sitting in my safe doing nothing.
In my search for a new 22LR pistol, I believe I've narrowed the choices to either a Ruger 22/45 of some flavor or the...
Well... the OP hasn't visited our beloved forum in 3 years, but I still don't understand his comment about needing to throw a lot of money into an upgraded trigger for the Shield.
Mine is stock and it's just fine.
I don't have a true Mak, but I do have a CZ82. It's an absolute pleasure to shoot and probably the most accurate pistol I own.
If shot placement is truly king, than I should be carrying the CZ82 everywhere I go.
I've been tempted a few times to pull the trigger on these things, but with the market flooded with used S&W revolvers (at least it was flooded for a time) at great prices, I never bothered.
If they ever came out with one in .327 mag, I'd jump at it. I'm not holding my breath though.
I have a beautiful Browning Hi-Power that's largely a safe queen. Shoot it maybe once or twice a year.
I've considered trading it for something more practical, but I just can't. It's just too nice of a pistol. I may just have to buy another one.
