    Haven't been here for awhile and need a ship date on a Model 64-5 I just picked up from SOG. Looks carried more than shot as it is tight and times perfectly. Just has the usual scuffs encountered on a probable Dept. trade-in but, nothing to bad that won't clean up. Came with horrid rubber grips...

    Since you guys were so quick to help me date my model 15-4 I thought I would inquire as to the manufacture date of my newly acquired model 65-3. It looks to be a carried much, shot little police trade-in with a round butt and heavy 3" barrel. Serial number is ANS454X Thanks, Wpns Man

    Engine49guy, Mine has a 4" pinned barrel. From the information P@R Fan provided it is an '81 gun but by the forum headings, pinned guns would seem to have a cutt-off of '80. Perhaps mine is a transitional gun. Does your 15-4 have a pinned barrel? Wpns Man

    Thank you for the welcome and the information. I think Model 15's are the ultimate .38 Specials but, I guess I am biased. Mine is laser beam accurate with target loads. I also have a 3" model 65 sitting at my dealer now but don't know the SN. Wpns Man
