Here's a photo of the Border Ranger holster, matching double mag pouch, and belt that Doc Barranti made me for my Sig Sauer P226 pistol. It quickly became my all-time favorite gun rig!

TFA should be a 1990 production year pistol. When you call S&W about the recall, ask nicely and they'll tell you the year it was shipped from the factory. ;)

I've loved all the 3rd Gen pistols I've owned over the years. I don't have a 5906, but I do own a 5926 and, though I normally carry a Sig P226, I still carry it when I'm feeling nostalgic. It's a great pistol and one I'm not ever going to sell which is saying a lot for me! :)

Most of the time, it's one of my two Sig Sauer P226 9x19 pistols. On those days when I'm feeling nostalgic, I switch to the S&W Model 5926.

None of the new S&W revolvers I purchased in the seventies and very early eighties had a sticker like that on them. Maybe they came a bit later.

Yes. Absolutely. Actually, except for a few rare exceptions like the new Series 70 Colt 1911 models and a few others, you'd be hard pressed to find any pistols made in the past 30 years or so that are not safe to carry with a loaded chamber.

The P226 has been my EDC for the last several years. It's my absolute favorite pistol model and is my go to for carry, training, and instructing (I'm an NRA-certified LE firearms instructor). My wife's pistol is a P229. I'm sure you'll enjoy yours. Best of luck with it! P.S.- It looks a...
