Thanks for the reply all…….. My 686 is 4" and the clerk at the gun store gave me 158 gr. It seemed to handle pretty good. All my shooting is just for target practice the the range.

I am bringing my 686 to the range tomorrow and will be shooting 38 out of it.What kind of grade of bullet should I be using for target practice.

Thanks for the response ….the 617 or the 63 will be used just taking to the target range and teaching my son to shoot with me.

Looking to buy a 22 Revolver Need some advise, which 22 revolvers are better to own. Some of the reading are on the models 617 LR 63 and 317. They all look like they would be great to shoot.

I was told by my local gun shop that the only product to use on my revolvers is Break Free CLP that's it nothing else?. The other day I bought a bottle of Hoppe's #9 and Hoppe's Elite. Can I still use all 3 products on my revolver? This is all new to me. Appreciate any help.

I went to a gun show today and p/u a model 36 1" blue for 485.00 new fired mint cond. The serial # is 418950. When you open the cylinder it is stamped mod 36 and 2314. Any info would help me on this beauty.
