Hello,
I am a French shooter and I am happy to join you.
I am both an IPSC shooter and antique guns collector.
I collect essentially martial Colt DA antique model (1889/1892/1894/1896/1901/1903) but I am highly interested in SW revolvers too and I just bought a Smith & Wesson safety hammerless in 38 SW !

I own a modern SW 625 JM in 45 ACP and love it.

I live in South of France and I am major in the French Army (Marine Infantry, which belongs to the Army in France because Marine Infantry is integrated to the Army).

Please excuse my bad english.

Salutations de Caroline du Sud, et bienvenue sur le forum.

Your English is quite good, and my French is from Google. ;)

Welcome to the forum. Your English is fine.

I was stationed at Ramstein AB and Zweibrucken AB in the early 1970's and still fondly remember driving into small French villages and Bitche for wonderful meals.

Yes this is our branch insignia !
I was just reading that although France was not bound by the NATO mutual defense clause, she deployed 30,000 military to the Afghan theater with 23,000 going in-country after 9/11/01, starting with a regiment of your Marines 21st RIMA in Mazar-E-Sharif Afghanistan, on 15 November 2001.

Thank you for your rapid support. :)

Welcome from Wisconsin, Major! Former US Navy & retired Army NCO here.
Frogman & Airborne Infantry. Go figure, LOL.

Isn't it fun to travel meeting new people without even getting off your chair?
We can actually all get along and enjoy life together.

Happy to make your acquaintance!

I have a weakness for French Arms myself.

Manufrance Ideals, Charlins, Manurhins etc

welcome from Nebraska... spent some time in southern France a few years ago... we found Collioure to be a fantastic spot on the Mediterranean... I am looking forward to heading back one day... and your English is a lot better than my French... again welcome...
