Lets see, Taurus has the Judge and The Public Defender, S&W has The Governor and now Rossi has the Circuit Judge. I expect Ruger will soon be out with "Hizzoner" 
I liked the old names better; Masterpiece, Python or better yet K22 (K frame in .22). Lets name the S&W .460 The Gladiator and the .500 "The REALLY BIG Gladiator"

Before I joined this forum and knew basically nothing I bought a Judge when they first came out. As a machinist I thought to myself, OMG, what crack-head spit these pieces out!! It seemed as though the end of the barrell wasn't milled or machined flat, more like a half round Nicholson file was used on it.
Then I learned more about " lock-up" on a revolver. I can now say that I have seen revolvers from the 1930's that have better lock up on the cylinder than this new out of the box Judge had.

OK, I confess to owning a circuit judge. Shot it with 410 OO buck and 45LC. Ground sluiced a couple of squirrels with it, and plinked with the LC. It aint all that bad. It is the official behind the front door gun now, but that can always change. Hugh

Well, since I am a 28ga fan, I guess I will have to have one of them in 28 gauge when they get out. If they are the quality of their 92 rifles which I have a couple of- it's going to be a good gun. Several fellers at the range have bought them and like them- it's kind of a novelty...which makes it more interesting than the tactical/black/plastic novelties that are so prominent these days.
I want to try some of that new 28 ga buckshot on coyote sized backyard raid'n critters, and maybe even a box of those new Brenneke slugs in 28 for the fun of it. I doubt it'll outpattern my Browning 12 in 28 ga though.
Ever since I saw one of the Colt revolving shotguns once, I wanted one. This is likely as close as I'll ever get since I can't make one myself, and I can't get that Russian one in 12ga.

I think I saw one of those Discovery Channel gun soap operas make a .410 zip gun for killing 'gators.

A revolver with a rifle stock isn't anything new I guess.
I saw one of these last week at the local bait and tackle shop. It was given to the owner by his wife for Valentines Day. I asked him how it shot and he said it was very nice with the .45 Colt ammo shooting to the iron sights. He is not a formal target shooter and did not state a particular range in yards. He spoke highly of the rifle. It's not my thing, but that's O.K. This gentleman also has a large collection of Russian M-91 type rifles as well as various AK's, Tokarev's , etc. that he enjoys shooting. I like 1903, 1903-A3 and M-1 Garand rifles. Maybe this little revolver rifle is a bit like one of his little short-barreled 91's that has the little spike bayonet attached... useful but not widely appealing. JMHO. Sincerely. brucev.

My brother-in-law has one and I think it is a fine rifle, for a specific purpose. It shoots fairly accurate with the .45, haven't shot any .410 out of it. Myself, I probably would not ever buy one, too much of a niche gun. Maybe, if I had every other gun I wanted I'd add one of these to the safe, but probably not. It is a good gun, shoots nice but hard to justify buying when the same money could go toward a good Smith.

This is the only one of the 410-45 firearms that appeals to me. A very fast handling 45 cal rifle has my interest. The 410 part not so much!
I handload my 45lc to my specs for hunting, most of the time the only ammo I can find locally is for "cowboy action shooting" it wont hardly penetrate a dixie cup. I shoot it out of a Rossi with the brass frame and Stainless Octagonal barrel. I think I would like to have one for the "unique" factor. But as I just bought an M&P Sport and another VZ24 and have been doing some "trading" (scored a new unissued Walther P1) the Chief Financial Officer wont even consider letting me buy another firearm right now.

How does the choke barrel incert work? If you leave the straight rifled incert in, how will it shoot with 45LC's?
In other words, do you have to change out the barrel incert to the smooth bore one to shoot the 45LC's?

As a new member, I was wandering around this Forum, came upon this thread. CAS was just starting to become main stream, found a beat up Uberti 45 Colt, 4-¾”. Didn’t cost much, so picked up a .480 reamer, and reamed out the cylinders. Took .444 Marlin brass, (a friend has a lath) and cut down the rim dia, and thickness, and cut the length so it was the full cyl length. Now S&W has conveniently come out with the .460, (which just is a 45 Colt on, LOTS of Steroids) So now, all one has to do, is cut the case to correct length. Have loaded with shot from #12 to BB, and it seems that #4’s work best for the rabbits when I am mowing lawn. Very easy to load. Just made one extra die. (picked up a old die, threaded a rod, which is long enough to push down the, over power wad, I use a .44 copper gas check). Put in a paper, (grocer bag brown paper) ‘wrap’, Cut in a trapezoid shape from a template, shot, and a cardboard over shot wad, bit of a roll crimp, and a dab of Duco cement. Powder, leave that up to you, consult your re-loading books, suggest you aim for a 7-900 FPS load with the weight of the ejecta. Works a WHOLE lot better than one of the, ‘new’, toys on the market now. And a LOT easier on the ears and hand. This is not a new idea, I remember seeing a write up in a old magazine when I was a kid, with someone doing this with a 1917, (Then a ‘cheep’ gun), with .405 Win brass.
So, tell me why I would want a cylinder gap that close to my face?
