I have spent the better part of the past two days looking. Kinda need to hurry before the idiots in the Colorado legislature pass some stupid law. Any suggestions on where to find a reasonably priced one?

Days? Guys that I know that have finally found them have spend weeks and months. Just keep looking. I'm sure someone has seen some on here and you'll have to order and have it shipped to your ffl.

Marks Armory is the place to get a good price ($634.99) on one, but they are out of stock, like everyone else.

The only place that has any right now, is GunBroker.

Most places are gouging $1,100 or more for for them (S&W's suggested MSRP is $839.00).

Oh, and welcome to the forum.

Oh, and welcome to the forum.

Before considering dropping that much cash on a rifle, consider the fact that the "AR15" type MSR is not the "end all, beat all" of existence. They're nifty and all, but not nifty enough to pay more than retail for. Just my unsolicited opinion, mind you! :)

My LGS has two sports for 699. They're the newer sports with the 1/9 barrel, and they're MA compliant, so there's no flash suppressor and the stock is pinned (easily fixed). If you're interested, PM me and I'll send you their name.

Bought two at my LGS a couple of weeks ago for $1100 each. Felt lucky to get one at that price. Around these parts anything resembling an AR is selling at $1500 or more. .223 ammo is a buck a round almost everywhere. I reload .223, so that isn't an issue. There apparently are a few showing up at normal pricing, but depending on where you live they may be few and far between.

Welcome Aboard.

Good luck.:D Have you checked all the local "Mom & Pop" LGS high and low around you ? Sounds like Colo. has gone nuts and about to loose a lot of jobs. You might have to beat feet and join us flat landers.

They are out there.
I spent 3 months looking locally and happened to stop by my LGS morning after they got 1 in (looking for 45 auto ammo)... it had the 1/8 5R barrel. I walked out with it. $800 total for gun, 30 round mag, and 180 rounds of ammo.

Gunbroker has them... I've been watching pricing. They are selling for about $1000-$1100 on average the past week.

Thanks. Eric

I haven't had a chance to look at more than a couple local shops but the have all been basically empty of everything.

It's kind of crazy around here. My buddy spent a week just trying to get .22 ammo. Ended up with him waiting in line at 5am for 50 rounds

Yes, That is the norm and has been so far this year! You are just going to have to search to find one. I just bought a 15 OR from a member here on the forum ( thanks wass). The guns are out there but you may have to have it shipped into your LGS. I wish you the very best of luck and welcome to the forum.:)

Try Armslist.com. Its a Gunbroker type site. Lots of private sellers and some dealers too. Found my M&P15x on there at a decent price. Good luck in your search!

How do you like the Shield? Those are another hard to find S&W, at least here locally.

I was at the right place at the right time to snag it. I love it so far. It shoots extremely well for a small compact gun.

Hard to find about anywhere. IF you can find one to at least feel, see how you like that. They are a small single stack,sub-compact. Mine fits my "medium+" size hands w/long fingers great with the 8 round mag. My pinky is so-so with the 7 round. But I love mine. It's gotten well broken in letting friends and customers from the LGS try it out. They all want and get on the list after shooting it. To me,I like it as good as the 9c. 9c is fatter.Shield is 1" thick.
