I would like to hear from those who have actually fired the listed ammunition and their experience with reloading each:
  • Fiocchi
  • Geco

FWIW, we all know that this ammo is cheaper, but does the brass hold up under reloading?

I have used both and they a good, but the fiocchi brass not uniform and in 32 acp, and the bullets over expand the case causing chambering problem.
also seller and bellot in 9mm has small primer pockets making priming hard.

I've use the 115gr 9mm Fiocchi with very good results. It was full power and accurate and I have reloaded the cases several times. I would buy it again over other well known brands depending on price. Geko brass I have also reloaded several times without any problems.

I've reloaded tons of Fiocchi. Good brass.

Only a few GECO cases, but they were fine..

In .45 ACPs, Fiocchis have worked well for me. Geco cases seem to be very heavy and I have trouble getting my loads to go in a maximum ammunition gauge with .452" bullets. Would probably have to go to .451" bullets to make them work.

I have used both both brands in .38 Special and .357 Magnum and they seemed pretty uniform and I had no problems with them in any of my revolvers. Ditto for Fiocchi .44 Magnum brass. That is all I have experience with.

I run across Fiocchi and Geco all the time (as well as every other imaginable brand). I don't separate by brand and have not had any problems handloading 9mm with any of the brass that I use (I don't use "Ammoload" brand because I don't like the look of it's construction method) Even though I load 1000 to 1200 rounds a week, I still inspect the cases (not sure why, old habit I guess. I haven't found but 2 split cases in the last 6 months and they kind of "jumped out" at me and I found them before my actual brass inspection).

I've have bent a Fiocchi case trying to load my S&W Shield 9mm mag. :/ It seemed to be really thin. I was putting that last round in and the force on the bullet second to the top bent the brass. Having said that I shot all 50 rounds and reloaded them with no problems...
