Fiocchi and GFL .357 brass and CCI small magnum pistol primers

I've had a rifle primer go bang when seating because I didn't decrimp enough. Jumped in and went off.
Pistol brass never had any problems.
Now I wear ear protection while priming JK..
In my opinion yes. in my opinion in my instance it was pressure not speed of impact, I didn't slam it and the primer didn't suddenly go in easy and was suddenly sent in to the bottom. I don't want to repeat it to see if what I believe is a hundred percent accurate though. My ear was ringing pretty good.

That's the brass I started out with several years ago go. It has tight primer pocket. Helps chamfer the outer edge of the primer pocket.
