lts actually baculum..The penile bone of most placental mammals

Eww...sick...

Pretty lame, I know.

Around here we have a version of that. It's called a "coon prick toothpick". Not quite so exotic but used to be right popular.

Whatever floats your boat. I'll stick with rosewood. I know, dull and pedestrian, but I don't get out much either.

Bacula (plural) are used to identify/distinguish between some species of mammals. Those of some rodents are very small and hair like. If you look at a zoological collection and the skulls have a small glass vial with them, it's the baculum for that species.

Split'en hairs there, aint we boss?

lts actually baculum..The penile bone of most placental mammals

"Oosik" is a word in the northern native American's language meaning "the baculun of seals, sea lions, walrus, etc."

The word in English "baculum" is a broader term, but would include all oosiks in it's definition.

As long as we're being picky, that name prolly would be different in Norway, Russia, Greenland, or other parts east.

Oosic makes great handles, plus its an interesting conversation starter with the ladies. Here is one I did with the business end and some damascus and wrought iron for the guard.

That's a beautiful knife even with a penis bone handle.

I will not be bidding against anyone bidding on any penis bone auctions.

Guess mebbe you ain't never seen a bull pecker cane neither.
