Anybody use Corbon in their Shield? Which type or load do you like? I've seen some of their videos and am somewhat impressed. Any wisdom on this matter? I currently use HST 124 or 147 grain. (9mm)

Check out this website:

Best Choices for Self Defense Ammo

It lists ammo that meets FBI standards for self-defense ammo. Scroll down to 9mm, and you'll find that HST 147 is on the list, as is HST 124+P. The only Corbon making the list is by Barnes. If you already have HST 147, and your Shield handles it well, I'd stick with it. (Fire a bunch to make sure.)

I carry Speer Gold Dot 124 in my Shield, but it's harder to find than HST, and I wouldn't hesitate to use HST if that's all I could find.

I've shot 115 Corbon DPX +p which my 9 shield loves. I still have a few boxes of it but honestly it's a bit too expensive. I recently found more 9mm hst at the local cop shop I buy my ammo from and bought about 6 boxes. I'd rather $30 on a box of 50 instead of only 20.

Which videos are you referring to and what about them impressed you?

Dr. Roberts' updated list is available at https://pistol-forum.com/showthread.php?4337-Service-Caliber-Handgun-Duty-and-Self-Defense-Ammo

147 (and 124 +P) HST are on the list and if your gun likes it then stick with that.

Ammo Quest by ShootingTheBull410 has an excellent series of workups on numerous defensive rounds. Last time I looked, the 147 HST was tops, followed by 124 HST for use in 3" barrel firearms.
