Quick Q for the group--I just picked up a shield pc 9mm today after trying the Walter PPS, Xds, LC9, Nano, and Sigs P938 for CCW. Luckily for $10 I Rented these firearms to shoot before purchase at my local gun shop/range which led me to my purchase today. I have large hands and in need of more grip on the single stack guns, anyone have any experience with the Hogue sleeve? It looks like from the pics these grips may give a little more girth than the Talons. For 10 bucks I think I'll go ahead and give it a try but curious to see if anyone has any experience with these. Thanks in advance!!

I've tried the Hogues on both the 380LCP and the 9 Shield. Then I tried the Pachmyre on the 45 Shield. 45 is much more grippable, so I also tried the Pach's on the 9. Huge difference.

Just ordered some tonight myself but from the pictures I have seen of them they are sharp looking as can be.

The Hogue Website has them for $9.95 plus shipping.

I have the Hogue Handall Jr. on both of my Shields. It adds just enough width for me and keeps the gun from moving around in my hand. It's an easy install, just heat it up in hot water and slip it on with a little work. I like that I can take it off without any kind of left over residue. Hope this helps!

Good deal, sound like this will be a good fit. Thx for the feedback!

I had those installed on a Ruger LCP that i had, thats a much smaller grip, though with those, the grip i had was improved significantly. Next week ill pick up a Shield and im probably getting these too!

Pachmayr makes one for the Shield. It is called the grip glove. Fills out the palm nicely. I use it on my Shield 9mm along with the longer magazine.

Being used to a Glock 23 for a number of years before I retired, the grip glove helps me grip the single stack frame.

Just ordered one of the new Hogue Beavertails for my 9MM Shield. Looking forward to trying them out. I have a Pachmeyer Grip Glove right now but don't like it. It shifts and the feel isn't right for me.

The one I ordered to put on my Shield came today, I had just put a new Talon Grip on my Shield a few days ago so intended to put it up and use it after I need to replace the Talons.

Well I decided to put the Hogue on my wife's Shield to get a feel comparision between the two, unfortunately I no longer have a Hogue Beavertail Grip... but my wife does.

Here's her Shield with the Hogue Beavertail Grip. Happy Wife happy life!

Do you have the model number of the Beavertail Hogue Grip your wife has on her Shield?
I ordered the 18403 and it is to tight, I even soaked it in hot water and still could not get it on.

Could you get your Beavertail grip to fit?

It is #18400 ... #18403 is supposed to be the same grip but in the Flat Dark Earth color.

I use sleeves now but tried the Beavertail from Hogue that I ordered from Cheaper than dirt but I am not going to mess up my Shield grip to try to install it. Hogue's answer to my installation problem was to use "Windex"...

I have the hogue grip one on my full size 9mm it was tight but went in with windex very easy, the one for the shield is extremely tight tried windex and no luck then rubbed a bit of clp and it went in at first try, it feels totally different now, I love it, much better and comfortable grip.

I put the Hogue Beavertail on my Shield 9 but my fingers are too big to get comfortable with it. I took it off and gave it to a buddy for his wife's Shield. The finger groove just didn't work for me.
