I was hoping to see a thread by now about Black Friday ammo deals. Last year did the Academy Sports deal and got three buckets of Remington 9mm with the rebate offer. Not sure if they are offering that again this year.

I got a flyer in the mail from a LGS that is offering a 500 round ammo box of Winchester 9mm 115 gr for $99. Cabela's has the same ammo box but for $139. Cabela's has price matching so I plan to use my $160 in Cabela's points to buy a couple of cans and then buy another from the LGS.

What deals have you seen for Black Friday?

I always try to multiply round counts up to 1,000 to easily figure the per round cost.

In your example of $99/500, that equates to $198/1000 + tax. That’s about $0.20/round.

SG Ammo and Ammotogo both are selling 9mm 1000 round case count, delivered, for less than $0.18/round or $180. Their Magtec is even a little less.

I judge local sales by common online pricing. If a local sales price with tax doesn’t beat online pricing, I won’t buy it. Sorry LGS, but I shoot a lot.

It’s worth looking for local sales and coupons, but often they are more hype than bargain.

Using my points from Cabela's is the best part of the deal I'm doing because it is like free ammo. I know I had to spend the money to accumulate points but it is stuff I have to buy like fuel and my daughters tuition. I sure might try some other deals also to get a good stockpile of 9mm ammo for the year. I have gone through 1600 rounds since last Thanksgiving.

Palmetto State has Blazer Brass 9 MM for $69.99 after rebate and free shipping.

I bought this yesterday. Free shipping Plus no sales tax.
Bonus is I don't have to get to Bass Pro/Cabela's black Friday to find an empty pallet.

Our local Walmart regularly stocks Federal brass 9mm 115 grain FMJ for $18-19/100 rounds.(.18-.19 per round) Remington 130 grain 38 spl FMJ brass for $68 for 250 mega pack. (.27 per round) It works fine for the range. Yes, I'd rather do business with a LGS but unfortunately I can't afford to for ammo. I know how Walmart strong arms the manufacturers and sells at prices that force small stores out of business.

I just ordered the Blazer from Palmetto State. Seems like a pretty good deal.

Outdoor Limited has a screaming deal on Federal Black Box rimfire. 1,600 Black Packs for $55 each. That's 3.4 cents per round for bulk rimfire. Yes, it's not CCI-SV and it isn't Eley Tenex, but it's decent bulk fodder.

If you don't think that deal is screaming... maybe you might after getting a $20 rebate per box (limit of $100 total, or five boxes per address). Yes, you have to wait for the typical long turn-around for a rebate but still... you end up with bulk rimfire at 2.2 cents per round.

Doesn't include shipping.

If you find a better rimfire deal, please post it.

Definitely look at Academy's flyer in this morning's paper. Very good ammo prices (Federal) but they involve a rebate. .22 LR at less than 2 cents per round (yes, 2 cents is correct), 9mm at 14 cents, .223 at 21 cents. I think there were others.

I received mine today. I’m not sure what photos Vista wants since PSA put stickers all over the box. I just sent a bunch of different photos of the box, and a screenshot of my receipt from PSA. Hopefully the rebate will go through, since that’s really the only reason I bought it.

Now I just have to wait for my gun to come back from Smith.

Just received today my order from Outdoor Limited. In addition to Federal Rebate, Outdoor Limited gives $10 off on order of $275, which is 5 Federal Black Packs of 22. Best offer I’ve seen on 22 plinking ammo.
Note: I bought a Black Pack several weeks ago and have had zero problems in any of my 22’s. Good stuff!

Thanks for this. Placed my Oder for 500rds at 5:30 pm 11/18 at received at at 6:30pm yesterday. Kept checking their deals and placed another order for 500rds of Fiocchi .30 Luger. Cheaper than any other place on the Internet and free shipping. PSA is hard to beat.

As of yesterday, the Academy near me seemed to have plenty of the Blazer Black Box ammo in stock (.22, .380, 9mm, .40. .45, and .223). Best prices I have seen in a very long time on .22. Other calibers are also pretty good. I bought 2 - .22s (1600 rounds each), 1 - .45 (300 rounds), and 1 - 9mm (500 rounds). After rebate, a little less than $200 for all. The UPC labels will peel off easily with a little care, no need to cut them off.
