SW 622, should I buy?

That is what I just purchased. it's a 1995 model so I tried it before I bought it at Bud's and it was flawless through 50 rounds and quite accurate in the hands of a 76 year old.

After purchase I ran another 100 rounds through it with the same success.

The only thing I have to do now if figure out how to get the barrel nut off to add a suppressor adapter.

On a serious note, these little pistols are fabby. That’s why I just sunk $300+ into my third one.

EWK has a great too to make it easy to remove the barrel nut. It is difficult otherwise... I tried. Now that I have a second one I'm glad that I got the tool.

Just for the heck of it, I got out my Dremel tool and a flat piece of metal I had lying around and went to work seeing if I could get something close to a removal tool. To my surprise it fit perfect and the barrel nut came right off. I ordered the EWK adapter for it so I shouldn't be needing it again.............. until I buy another one.

Good work, I attempted to make a tool also... apparently my barrel nut was on a bit tighter. I stopped before I buggered things up to bad. The EWK tool did its job first try.

If....IF you have the proper tool, is it difficult to remove the barrel from a 4 inch 422 pistol? The reason I asked is I had pondered taking the barrel out and smoothing out the sharp edges around the ramp and chamber. I loaded and ejected some standard type ammo once and noticed the bullets getting shaved or dinged in the feeding process, as I recall. Figured if I could get that barrel out in the open I could use my Cratex wheels and knock down the sharp edges and polish to a mirror shine like I have done on other auto barrels. That usually helps or ends the issue. I am aware of the care that should be taken in not going nuts and grinding off a bunch of metal or something bubba. Thanks. BTW I had a 6 inch 622 when they came out. I got this one maybe 8 years ago at a show in near mint for 150$ from some guy just wanting to get rid of it before he left the gunshow. Came with nylon camo holster that fits fine.

Got one a couple of years ago. It feeds min mags and most 40 grain very well. Don't shoot it much but it is exceptionally light and easy to shoot.
I'd buy another one if I found one for $250.00 or less.

SW 622, should I buy?
