A friend just bought a 1978 made CZ 75, first series so-called “short rail”. It’s a very nice gun, the blueing and polishing is beautiful. It’s also a fairly rare gun I believe, first time I’ve held one. So I thought I’d share a few pics.

I'm definitely jealous; The original grips need to be put back on though.

It didn’t come with them, and they’ll be hard to find I suspect.

It was posted in the local internet classified, private seller. We both saw it, but I had recently bought a nice painted pre-B, and a lot of other guns so I passed and he took it, for $ 850.

When he brought it to show it to me and asked my opinion about it (he is quite new to the world of firearms), I started having regrets. But I’m happy for him, and I’m first in line if he sells it.

He needs to find the waffles.

As a CZ fan, that's my grail gun. I don't spend that much on any one gun, but in that case I'd be sorely tempted. And especially at that price- he got a great deal.

Keep an eye on Ebay, the waffle grips grips show up from time to time. I wish one of those would come my way, I wouldn't think twice about $850, that was a deal.
