I am having a hard time finding a right hand belt holster for my new carry pistol. I think what I want is an OWB holster.

M&P®9 SHIELD™ EZ® MANUAL THUMB SAFETY CRIMSON TRACE® GREEN LASERGUARD® (I am swapping C.T. a Green Laser for the Red.)
SKU: 12438

I figured I could get a leather holster like my others but he won't make holsters for guns equipped with lasers. It seems like there are hundreds of Kydex holsters but not many for the "EZ" with Laserguard.

I'd like the trigger and button to activate the laser covered and I'd prefer belt slots as opposed to clips/clamps.

Has anyone came across a holster like this or know of someone that could make one?

Thanks,
Beav

I can't even find a Kydex "belt" holster, they all seem to be "IN the waistband." Maybe the EZ with laserguard wasn't such a great idea after all.

For molded Kydex you might look at Cook's Holsters Inc.. For leather you might look or contact Wright Leather Works. Both list the S&W 9mm EZ with the CT laser as an option.

Maybe try contacting Crossbreed Holsters. They have a “LDS” holster that shows a std Shield w/ laser; so if the EZ isnt listed it may be in the works. I have one of their Reckoning holsters for my EZ (no lasers) and really like it. And i found Crossbreed to have excellent cust service when i was asking q’s earlier.

Thanks for the leads McKenney99 that was what I needed and I have e-mailed both of them.

I did check with Crossbreed and they replied that they did not have anything at this time.

Cooks Holsters

I found (and ordered) what I think will be a good holster for my Shield "EZ."
Just in case someone else is looking for a similar holster later on, they have one called "The Comfort Series" for this exact pistol....right down to the Crimson Trace laser and Thumb Safety options. I know everybody makes one for Inside the Waste Band, but I wanted one hanging off my belt and this company did that for me.
I am still going to take my time and look around for a nice leather holster too, but at least I can get it out of my pocket sooner and who knows.... maybe I'll like Kydex.

Thanks to all who helped.

UPDATE on Cook's Holsters. Just in case anyone is considering one of theirs... I ordered one 10 weeks ago. Two weeks ago they answered an email and said it was in production.... but still no holster!
I know Covid has slowed things down but they said 3-4 weeks and it has now been 10...just sayin.

One more update.... I have now waited over 3 months for a simple Kydex holster from these people at Cook's Holsters. They advertise a 3-4 week wait which is a joke, they answer 1 email a month to say it should ship "next" weekend but it never does. I will give them a few more days to credit my charge card but I am getting really tired of being strung along. I have this feeling they have shut down but didn't update the website.
So now, I have to holster shop again.

PJ Holsters has made several for me. Simple, elegant designs, reasonably priced, and fast delivery. Nice guy to deal with.

beaverislander, so sorry you ran into trouble with Cook's Holsters. I know I steered you to look at them. I did not experience anything like you have. There is a lot of competition in the holster business and a company that misleads customers on delivery times and then gives false updates will not last long as word travels fast via the internet now days.

No problem mckenney, like you said, there are plenty of folks making holsters right now so I'll find someone that wants to make a buck. I used an AMEX card and they are very good when it comes to recovering money. Besides, I have a nice holster for my 1911 and I've been carrying that lately.

I will check out some of these other links this weekend, thanks everyone for the ideas.

I've made a couple of holsters for the EZ 9. I started with a pattern for a Glock and modified it to the right size. It wasn't hard to do. If you know anyone locally that makes holsters they should be able to produce what you want and not charge an arm and a leg.

This is what I really wanted for the 9 "EZ" but he doesn't make "any" holsters for firearms with lasers. It's a Mitch Rosen 5JR that I have worn daily for 18 years. I also have one for a 1911 and got used to them but I can not find anyone that makes one like them now days.
I ordered a leather holster from 1791 off of that big retailer in the sky so I'd have something to wear until I found what I really wanted, and I'ts close but no cigar. I have given up on leather and Monday I'll call a few of these places that have been recommended for a Kydex holster.... they may even be better.... I'm just old fashioned I guess.

I got a holster from them recently. It took 2 1/2 months to get it (I received it early Nov). I was pretty upset by the wait too. They didn’t shut down; they’re just taking forever. I would just pretend like you never ordered it, and then you’ll have a surprise a few months later when a holster shows up.

Thanks for the reply, and it's good to hear you got it. I emailed them yesterday and told them to just cancel and apply the credit so I doubt I'll get it...unless they happened to send it without telling me.

Cook's holsters vs Vedder's holsters - my experience

Just to follow up..... I had to ask AMEX to get involved but it only took them a week to get a full refund. I never did get a response from them.....NADA.

On the bright side, I ordered one from Vedder Holster's and they shipped it the next day and even with the Thanksgiving holiday I received it in less than a week. I couldn't get a OWB because of the laser but it is a nice holster.

So if any one is looking for a M&P 9mm EZ holster you might want to consider what I went through, just sayin.
