S&W deleted the pins in about 1982 and made the Model 60 through 1988. The Model 60-3 replaced the Model 60 since Models 60-1 & 60-2 had been used previously for models made concurrently with the Model 60.

Why do you believe it should have a dash?
My 649 is my favorite.My homely, old Model 49.
It should be my 360J but it's not. This Performance Center 442 has a better trigger helps my rapid fire shooting. I don't understand people that say they won't shoot lightweights. Ammo and grip selection make the difference. I'd rather shoot a lightweight with wadcutters than a steel gun with 158+p or 357
