This question is a little out of left field, but I'm thinking that some here might be able to give me some pointers.

While I own a couple of Rugers (SP-101 32 Mag and Single Six), I'm not really a Ruger guy. I recently came across a good-sized box of factory Ruger rifle sight tools (factory package, marked RSAT ); I'm guessing for older guns, as it has the 4 prongs at both ends. I figured that people at the RugerForum.com might be interested, but I cannot figure out even how to join, much less make a post. Is there a better forum to search out, or can anyone give be the scoop on joining?

Thanks

Are you trying the dot com, or the dot net? Dot net is very active; I think the dot com one is moribund.

Not 100% sure but for some reason on the .COM site new members cannot join.No provision to register that I can see.Tried to join a year ago, guess they do not need members.

Info appreciated

Thanks guys. These things are still listed on the Ruger website for pre-580 guns, for $21.95, but you'd think that there might be one or two folks who would like them for $5 each + postage.

Guess I'll take a look at the .net site and see about over there.

I'm a member of both those forums. The .com site is alive but forget why, but nobody can join now, some sort of technical issue.

The .net site is very active but there are limitations on new members posting classifieds.

I am on the .net site and they do have a requirement of minimum posts before selling. However, in the past I have always had better luck selling items here and not the Ruger site.

Same here! I belong to both but there's far more visibility here.

Gents,

Thanks very much for your input; I have listed them in the Accessories section here, and there was some interest.

While suppose I could join the Ruger Forum and accumulate the required number of posts to reach the ability-to-sell threshold, to me that seems as if I would be joining just to sell, doing so to sell only, with nothing else to contribute.

That's just not my style.

Perhaps my views will change in the future, who knows.
