I am not capable of narrowing things down to a single
"COOLEST" firearm
Between the unusual and unique firearms that I have acquired over many years, there are the ones that have been passed on to me from other family members that also love
"COOL" firearms . . . it is just too hard to choose only one.
On the revolver side if talking about ones that I shoot, it is hard to top my 2 1/2" Ultimate Stainless Python that has Walt Sherman's roller bearing action. I did remove the factory grips in favor of a set of Hogues. Everyone that has tried this has been totally amazed by the double action trigger pull. One of the LTs I used to work with said it was like pulling a hot knife through warm butter
If we are talking about
"COOL" revolvers that I own the Smith & Wesson Deluxe Texas Sesquicentennial Model 544 probably gets the most nod
With auto loaders that I carry, the Bobberg 45 is way up the list. Most folks find it hard to believe that this little pocket pistol's barrel at 3.75" is 1/2" shorter than most manufacturers commander sized 1911s
By and large one of the coolest auto loaders that I have ever owned is the Smith & Wesson 3566 Limited pistols. These are just wicked looking pistols.
I have to give Honorable mention to the 10 1/2" Grizzly Long Slide as well as the 475 Wildey Magnum and the various SIG X-6 pistols as they all are great conversation starters even among non-firearms folks.
If we are going to include a
"COOLEST" shotgun, it has to be my little 11" barreled 12 gauge Coach Gun. This guy is lotts of fun to shoot, especially with the various short 12 gauge shells that are around
If I were a wood worker, I would have shaved the stock down to a Bird's head style. I do own a second donor gun for when I get more free time (and find a stock maker with cheap prices)
In shoulder fired arms, the
"COOLEST" are the select fire ones. Among shooters, it is the MP5/357. Yes, a select fire SMG chambered in 357SIG. The MP5/10 is a close runner up
