1974 Movie "Big Bad Mama"

Being bored at home on a Saturday night I viewed a movie starring Angie Dickerson. I remembered her as "Sgt. Pepper" from "Police Story" and John Wayne's "Rio Bravo"
HOLLY MOLLY ! Angie appeared in several sex scenes nude ! Color me surprised ! I was under the impression that Angie was a super star. What Happened ??
 
I tried watching it twice. Despite nakedness, that was a horrible film, perhaps the worst Angie Dickinson was in. She'd probably agree.
 
AD was one of the female actors in those times that did quite a few movies with little or no clothes on and was known for those acting abilities.

If you dig into the ladies of halloywood, there is quite a few "Eye Openers" that you will uncover.

One was Shelly Winters.

Saw her in one movie, successfully forgot the name of it, where AD was in a shower scene and I mention to my wife, no way in H is that her, too perfect for a woman her age.
Turned out she used a lot of body doubles in later years.
Movie magic is a wonderful thing.
 
Angie's TV cop series was called Police Woman. It usually contained a liberal sprinkling of sexual double entendres which were fairly clever. That was not your usual TV fare back then. She was also sort of a member of Frank Sinatra's so-called Rat Pack.
Episodes of Police Woman are still shown today on some of the Retro TV channels like GET and MeTV.

Back in the 70's, i thought that was a mighty fine film. Being such an aficionado of the theater and all.
 
It was the 70's. Jamie Lee Curtis's career changed for the better when she bared herself on screen. Hollywood has never been a place you wanted your daughter to work at.
 
Lots of good actors have been in bad films!
It seems to be a lapse of judgment, like yes, I’ll have one more Chili Dog!
Happy Hour is almost over, One more round please!
These actors are probably just sitting around and get an offer,
Why not!
