I recently bought a used 686-1 and it has grips I have never seen before. Took them off and there is no name or symbol anywhere I can find. I saw this picture of the same grips and am wondering if anyone can identify the brand. They have two screws which is nice, and are rubber, not plastic, but the rubber is firmer than typical Hogue or Pachmayr grips.

Thank you. I had never heard of them, but Googled Bill Davis revolver grips and that is the one. Seems they are not available anywhere. The set on the 686-1 I got are like new, so I have them and can throw them on any K or L square butt. They feel very good, have only dry-fired will get to the range soon. I appreciate the quick response you nailed it.

Bill Davis built PPC revolvers in 1970s and 1980s. He designed the grips for shooter, with the position of the 2 screws no way the screws would interfere with the main spring.
When Davis retired he sold the moulds to Safariland but the never made the grips.
Davis and his wife bought moulds back and produced the grips in black, green and pink. Mrs. Davis continued to sell grips until supply was exhausted.
I think Mrs.Davis is deceased.
The design of these grips are the best I have ever held. You trigger finger
follows the grip right to the trigger.

Davis grips are indeed gone as are Mr & Mrs Davis
they also made the famous speedfeed synthetic stocks and Remington's bankruptcy and non payment put them out of business.
son in law was running out what little inventory was left and its all gone forever.
