I’ve been searching a long time for service style grips for my new model King Cobra. Based on a post on the Colt Forum, I ordered some from one of the Thailand Craftsman off eBay. Well, they fit very nice. With the Tyler T Grip I’ve been saving for it, I think it looks really good. Now, if Safariland would just reintroduce a D Frame Speedloader……..

Nice looking gun! But jeez, those Tylers cheapen up the looks on any gun they're on, IMO.

Combat grips add much more class than the Tylers, IMO.

Nothing personal, just respecting a gun's looks. I also own two King Cobras.

How did you get a black 3in king cobra? Special run or did you have it done?
Try a K frame loader. My regular K2C works acceptably on mine.

It’s not black, just the lighting. Yes, those loaders work with .357 Magnum ammo, but .38 Specials are too short. Thanks for the tip!

If any Members decide to order these grips, you’ll also need a Colt D Frame grip pin. They are available from Robertson Trading Post.

I have been on the fence about most of the reintroduced Colts, but your setup, with the grips and Tyler T, looks absolutely fantastic.
I do use the T grips on some of my Smiths, but by and large it is simply because of nothing else available, such as my Mod. 12's. I add this simply to show that I am not just a vintage look fanatic. Again great looking gun.
