Looking for some opinions. I know many people will disagree with me but I think I have more model 60's than I need so I agreed to sell one to a friend.
My question, which one should I keep or sell? Both are shooters without matching stocks. Both great guns!
One is a no dash from about 1976, obviously pinned barrel, etc. highly polished, and the other is a 60-3, both excellent condition.
Can't decide if I want to keep the older pinned barrel or the -3 with the upgrades.
I would appreciate your thoughts.

Thanks, John

Easy decision. The model 60 is a SD gun, not a "collector's model". The buggered screw heads on the no dash would convince me to keep the later model.

Thanks for the input!
I was aware of the screw issue which is why I added the pictures but in close to 20 years I've never had any problems with it. Just a "fun gun".
Someone suggested leaving it up to the buyer. I've got a week or so to figure it out.
Thanks again to all!

Do they both have smooth combat triggers? If they do I would sell the one with the better trigger to your friend. You already said neither is one of your carry pistols. Let him buy one with a good trigger.

Your call of course, but unless there is something sentimental about the no dash gun, I'd keep the -3 model. I've never had a problem with any 19-3 I've ever seen and I think I'd like it's trigger over the no dash trigger.

The later model is in far better condition overall. Not just because of the buggered screws. The side plate looks to have been sanded or steel wooled to remove corrosion. What's cool about that? It's not in collectable condition. Keep the later gun which obviously has seen far less use.

... I think I have more model 60's than I need...
I'm struggling to get past that line... it does not compute. Is it actually possible to have more Model 60's than you need? JW5400, you have a lot more strength than me. After accumulating a bunch of Model 60s, I cannot imagine letting one of them go. You must really like your friend. So regardless of which one you sell to him, I am confident that HE will be smiling the big smile.😃😁😎 Good luck in your very difficult decision.
