Howdy all,

If you have one of these four Chiefs Specials I would like to hear from you to learn the specifics of your model. These four shipped on October 17, 1951, to E. K. Tyron Company in Philidelphia, Pennsylvania, along with my serial number 261, which has a service style front sight, smooth trigger, serial number-matching magna stocks, and the second style flat thumbpiece.

Hi, Walter,

Thank you. Always looking for more Chiefs for the database, and finding new ones always generates questions.

On your 2769 is the rear side plate screw rounded or flat? Those appear to be mother-of-pearl grips--are they? It likely shipped between January and July 1952. Its serial number is just outside the block of serial numbers -- 2773-3673 -- for an order of 780 Chiefs shipped to Japan in January 1952. Thank you.

Your 5691 likely shipped in February or March 1952.

Does your 38947's thumbpiece have only 10 ridges and 11 valleys? The other two's thumbpieces will have 11 ridges and 12 valleys. It likely shipped between December 1953 and April 1954.
