Can someone recommend a simple photo editor?
I am 83 YO and for most purposes computer illiterate. (I don't have any grandkids to help me out..)
Basically all I want to do is resize, crop and cut/paste.

Years ago I had an early version of Photoshop but they keeping adding new "features" and stopped supporting my early version to where I can't handle the complexity....

Are you taking your own photos with a "smart" cell phone or iPad/tablet of some sort? Or are you receiving photos that you want to edit on such a device?

Tablets and smartphones have built in photo editing software that is very easy to use for the tasks you describe.

Come to think of it, while I no longer use a computer/laptop, I would think most of those must have built in photo editing software, too.

What device do you want to edit the photos on?

Most of my photos are taken by a high-grade camera (Canon) and stored on a lap-top or flash drives.
I don't have any problem getting them from camera to computer, it's editing them after that.

If Windows, which edition? On Windows 10 and 11, there is a built-in, pre-installed, "Photos App." Find that. It can do the simple tasks you are asking about.

I am a photog. Had my own darkroom eons ago and switched to digital when it became available.

I have used a bunch of photojunk that came with computers, or the software with cameras, and after all the experiments I have settled on one single program.

Microsoft Office Picture Manager.

I don't believe it's offered any more, but every time I get a new computer I am able to find it and download a free copy.

That's my recommendation.

Microsoft includes a version of Paint free with every computer they sell. That's what I use.
