…I struggle to tell myself that I don’t want it.

God, it feels good in the hand.

It is beautiful. Well built.

Familiar.

But I don’t want it. I don’t need it. What would I do with such a gun?

It really fits my hand, too, amigo. Honestly, I mocked these things when they came out, but Mas Ayoob said I should try one because it would fit my hand well and - as is generally the case when he tells me something - he was correct. It pointed completely naturally and gave me a reliable and decently accurate 9x19 that's the size and weight of a Walther PPK - but with twice the capacity. Has that same wonderful feel to it as well. Argh.

I bought one and later bought a second from a friend who didn't love his. Put a tritium front sight (Night Fision front sight for M&P) on it and just love it for almost any carry. And now there are completely reliable 17-round OEM mags easily available - not something I'd carry in the gun, but nice for a backup mag. (And I use the 10-round mag whenever I'm someplace like Seattle.)

You probably owe yourself at least trying one out. If you're ever down this way . . . let me know!

If I'm awake I've got mine on me. I also found that the little gun just points naturally for me. I didn't believe I would find another pistol that would replace my beloved SA Micro Compact 1911 .45 acp for EDC but now I own 2 of the CSXs. I did replace the factory sights with the XS Sights Big Dot Express Night Sights. Definitely try to find one to shoot, not just hold in your hands to get a fair test of the little pistol.
Between my 2 pistols I have had 1 malfunction and that was within the first magazine fired. I've got around 1000-1200 rds thru my primary carry CSX and that includes 115gr, 124gr & 147gr FMJ and Federal HST's.

Hold it, shoot it, admire the armornite finish. Compared it to all the rest and IMO it's tops. 3 or 3.6 they tuck away nicely at 3 to 4 oclock. I use a Black Scorpion Gear kydex with 12 round mags. I like the slim backstrap.
