Like my other post, I am looking to buy this from an estate of a friend who passed. I want to make a fair offer. Looks to be all original and decent shape for it's age. I did replace the hammer nose for him long ago as the family of the former owner cut the tip off to make it "safe".

Offer would depend if all numbers are matching (including grip panels). $500 as I see it would be a fair offer.

All number match event the one grip, Upon removing the grip the locator pin was heavily rusted and there is light pitting on the grip frame as well as a small patch on the barrel near the muzzle. The patch at the muzzle is hard to see in my picture.

A second vote here for the +-500 range. Given what you say of the grip frame I'd want to be closer to 475 if it was a show or shop find, but coming from the estate of someone I knew in that kind of shape I'd feel pretty ok at 500-525. Depending on how well you knew them you could go up to 550 IMHO w/o skinning yourself in the deal, though it might take a while to get that back if you were to let it go soon. Depends on what your area is like for collector revolvers.

I've had 3 different V-models over the years and enjoyed them all thoroughly, this one looks like a fairly nice example. Good luck!

Thanks for all the replies, the guy died with no family so all money is going to whoever he left his estate to (not me). With the pitting on both sides of the barrel even though it is light I am going to go a bit low in the $425 range. I'll post pics of the barrel later on.
