I own a USP Tactical 45 and recommend staying with coated, jacketed or plated bullets. Jacketed bullets are all I shoot now through all my HK's, as recommended by HK. If you shoot lead bullets, just be sure to clean properly and remove ALL lead from the polygonal rifling. That being said I have shot wadcutters through my USP45, 200g SWC @ 1.250" AOL and a .473"* taper crimp at the mouth. I use a formula from while back from "Bullseye" shooters shooting the 1911. Taper crimp at the mouth measurement is critical for proper feeding, as well as OAL, but here it is.
*Bullet diameter (.452") + case thickness (.012") x 2 =.024" -.003" = .473" taper crimp right at the mouth. So depending on your case thickness, your taper crimp is always minus .003".
You could re-seat the bullets and taper crimp the cases now but be very cautious since it's a loaded round and be sure to check for the lead being shaved off from the case. Your safest bet it to give those away to someone with a S&W 625 or buy one, as recommended earlier. Be Safe!
