Model 624 Three inch

I'm a bit of a sucker for short-barreled guns; I have two of the 3" Lew Horton .44 Specials; a M24 and a M624; the M24 is NIB and unfired; the M624 has been shot some, and was previously modified with a high polish job and a set of faux ivory 'Magna' stocks, and is one of my favorite shooters (along with my M19 2 1/2" and an old Charter Arms in .32 H&R Mag). I think the .44 Special is a great cartridge, in the 'fat and slow' category, but that corresponds with me anyway. Wish I could show pics; I think you guys would love the M624, even if it does look like a 'pimp' gun! I should note I turned down an offer of $2K for the M24...maybe not smart, or maybe I'm just greedy...

Walked into my LGS and was handed this 624 in the proper S&W BLW 624 holster. In good shape but needs a good cleaning and the finish on the grips is gone. It goes nicely with the short barreled 24-3 I got recently. Serial # is ALU0510 so I think it is one of the first Lew Horton's?

A nice surprise. Edited - Oh I bought it.
