Unfortunately, the s/n will not identify the revolver model. Triple-alpha serial numbers were used for many S&W models beginning in 1980. Whichever model is attached to this "AEB3319" s/n was manufactured in 1984. If you want more info, a better description and/or some pictures would certainly help us with an identification.
Hey man I appreciate the info. Thanks manLooks like a J-frame. Probably a model 60. The model number will be inside the vertical part of the yoke as seen with the cylinder open.
I see what you mean. The contours don't seem to match up when looking at the pic in post #4.Sure looks like the barrel was replaced on that gun. Maybe just the angle the photo was taken from.
