Where I hunted for many many years in Upstate NY, there was a very high end gun shop specializing in used vintage Parkers, Belgium Brownings, vintage German & British shotguns, as well as very highly sought after vintage and antique rifles - many prized Winchesters that were highly engraved with Ivory stocks and hand sewn leather cases! He had absolutely no interest in handguns although he would have to buy many of them when buying an entire collection from an estate. Because he had no real interest in handguns, he sold them dirt cheap! I mean really cheap - just to move them out of the display cases and make room for his long guns worth much more. Works for me!
I bought quite a few pristine collectible handguns from him and would routinely buy more than one at a time. Thankfully for me and my hunting bud's, almost all his clientele were only interested in the long guns - left more for us!
Never heard of an ivory stocked long gun, that is intriguing!
