Black-Tie Guns

Where I hunted for many many years in Upstate NY, there was a very high end gun shop specializing in used vintage Parkers, Belgium Brownings, vintage German & British shotguns, as well as very highly sought after vintage and antique rifles - many prized Winchesters that were highly engraved with Ivory stocks and hand sewn leather cases! He had absolutely no interest in handguns although he would have to buy many of them when buying an entire collection from an estate. Because he had no real interest in handguns, he sold them dirt cheap! I mean really cheap - just to move them out of the display cases and make room for his long guns worth much more. Works for me!

I bought quite a few pristine collectible handguns from him and would routinely buy more than one at a time. Thankfully for me and my hunting bud's, almost all his clientele were only interested in the long guns - left more for us! :p
Never heard of an ivory stocked long gun, that is intriguing!

Is/was a small local gunshop where the owner worked on the model that he wanted to turn used guns over ASAP. generally only looking to make $50-100 on each transaction, so he could use "his Money" flipping 3 or 4 guns vs holding out for weeks or months for top dollar on just one gun!

Got a number of good deals in that shop!

Glenn, it's attractive, for sure, but.... Have you ever shot it?

(I'm thinking if a grizzly bear is on top of you, thrusting that into its maw as deep as possible and pulling the trigger as he chomps down, well hail! At that point, who cares about a little recoil! ;) )

It’s for a stout but manageable recoil.

For the record, on the rare occasion that I'm dressed in a tuxedo or a suit, the only gun I carry is a Beretta 950 BS. The top one in this picture. Easy to conceal, doesn't bulge no matter where I put it, and, in the rare moments that I am that gussied up, I don't need a gun on my waist. Way too annoying. The Beretta mousie will do in that circumstance.
