Trends You Simply Can't Stand...Feel Free To Vent Here

Pocket carry. I think that the concept is absurd. Pockets are for keys, pocket knives, loose change and lint. If I carried a Baby Browning, it would be in a holster, on a belt. inside or outside the pants.
Definitely not absurd. It is a matter of choice, and sometimes of necessity. Pockets are for whatever one chooses to put in theirs.

Don't get me started ... I have several !
Today it's the must have silencer ...
Every gun you own does NOT need a beer can sized silencer screwed on the end of the barrel ... I don't know why every You-Tube Expert has decided that silencers are now a must have necessity of life ... Just Say No !

Easy for me, these are prohibited for civilians in my country (but go figure it out, it's OK if you cross the border and drive 20 miles to France)

TRENDY THINGS ON TV:
Too many attractive women, & even men - ARE WEARING SILLY UNNATURAL BLACK EYEBROWS - some are too high, arched, scowling, even uneven. Hard to take them seriously. What were they thinking - I don't expect to see Clowns on the NEWS.

MISLEADING TV Ads:
*4 PATRIOTS "GENERATOR" + FREE SOLAR PANELS - NOT A "GENERATOR" = STORAGE BATTERY that doesn't do as claimed.
*BUYING GOLD IF you need to sell some before it appreciates - can only sell to wholesale buyers - none give going rate.
*FANCY TV ORDER STEAKS, for around $100. offers a few bacon wrapped PORK tenderloins, burgers, weenies, & turnovers -
you can buy actual Beef Steaks & same stuff @ Wal Mart for way cheaper.

Thanks for listening feel better now ! C.

Thank you for the explanation. I've never seen this on a range, whether it was a police range, public range, or private gun club.
I have seen it at many larger ranges and every single time I have ever qualified at the LE range for 20+ years.

It is standard range uniform like a reflective vest is for traffic flaggers.

I cringe when people call their firearms She. She has a nice finish on her. Also, guys explaining a part calling it This Guy. She is a song title. Also, very rarely, people writing a post and putting LOL after every other sentence.
I guess some guy's guns are like ships....All ships are girls...

Ships are all called "she"

Folks that say my pistol “ runs”. Have never seen any weapon with legs. Lack of ability with the English language for using Functions, operates and other better words.
Young guys at the range shooting ARs and other plastic guns at 7 yards with shotgun size groups????
Guys at shows that ask 100 questions about ammo that has information On The Box of ammo. Happened at Raleigh show when helping best friend, give me a break…..
My shotguns make a rather small group at 7 yards whereas I, contrariwise , do not. Seems that the older I get, the more accurately I used to shoot. Oh, to be back in my 80s again.

I started my reply with, "I think," indicating that it is a personal opinion. But, yea, I think that pockets are lousy holsters.
OK. What about carry in an actual pocket holster, rather than simply dropping a gun in a pocket (which is what you seem to be against)?

Nope, for me, it is still too difficult to draw from a pocket and if you are sitting nearly impossible to do in a hurry.
My experience is a bit different. I don’t find it difficult to draw from a pocket holster, but it is slower than from a belt holster.

However, one big benefit (to me) is I can have my hand in my pocket with a full firing grip on my 642 in a Mika’s holster, and in that condition, the draw is lightning fast with no telegraphing that I have a weapon at the ready. Its perfect when filling the car with gas, or any other time one might want to ready with the fastest presentation possible with no telegraphing.

But there again...........It's only their opinion.
Yes it is. But when's the last time Guns and Ammo said a gun they were testing was unacceptable? Like never? Gun test's give fair test's pitting the same type of firearms against one another. They also use a group to test a firearm, not just one persons opinion.

Some "Texas speak" isn't exactly efficient. Growing up all soft drinks were referred to as "cokes". Say you to into an "ice house" (South Texan for "convenience store"), and you ask for a coke. The guy at the counter had to ask "what kind", at which time I would usually respond, "Dr. Pepper".

Open Carry outside of uniformed duty or range

The words “tactical”, “awesome”, and “flawless"

Spray-on fashion colors on any firearm

Skulls - especially Punisher skulls

Overblown compensator claims

Giving a gun a “sex”. Still waiting for someone to tell me their gun is non-binary

SIG SAUER
