My daughter Sarah was working before Christmas several, six, years ago and some guy was giving away “free” baby bunnies. Of course Sarah took one. She moved out after HS graduation and left Snow here.
He’s been sick lately and he didn’t quite make it to the vet appointment. Angel, my crazy Weimaraner, didn’t quite understand why he wasn’t giving her kisses through the cage. Hasenpfeffer was out of the question so I had to dig a grave back in the Pet Sematary with the yellow parakeet, the blue parakeet, my snake, a baby wild rabbit, and Natasha’s iguana, Rocky. Oh, and half of my mom’s ashes are back there too. I think we told the girls their gold fish was there too. No more free animals!!
Dammit, that was a cool little bunny.

Growing up we had a rabbit. Named Satan for various reasons, one of which is he seemed nigh unkillable. Eventually age did him in. Time is undefeated. Satan was a tough, mean, son of a........... yeah, you could say I liked him.

Kids ( teens)had a rabbit that was house broken. Boo Boo would go to back door and thump on floor to go out. We’d let him out he’d do his business and come to back door and thump to come in. Cool rabbit as he would hop around downstairs looking around and eventually go to his cage and sleep. Ended up giving him to girl at hardware store that had lots of rabbits.

My brother and his wife had a big long hair rabbit they named Hasenpfeffer. It had the run of the house and was litter box trained, but it liked to terrorize their cat. The rabbit was a male...

It kept chewing up electric cords, so they finally got rid of it.

Perfect name for a home-raised rabbit! My mom would cook it but refused to eat it. It was pretty good, as was anything she cooked (except the tuna noodle casserole and her olive-polluted meatloaf.) I haven't had any since I was around 8-10 years old. I'm not sure how many lead BBs I've eaten, but that would explain a lot!
Snow was fun to play with. He had a little growl and would swat at me with his little paws. I guess I'll miss him...

WE have many wild rabbits here on my property.
Lost a big oak tree in Milton last fall, cut up all the canape for FEMA
to haul as promised, they did not.
In the end all we were offered was a one-night stay at a hotel IF the tree were blocking my entry, it's not soo..FEME sucks
On the bright side, the pile of dead tree is habitat to an extended rabbit family.
... and at my age, I can use the HARE !

Sorry to hear about your pet. They only live around 10 years

When I was a kid we found a pure white rabbit (Snowball) Up North. It was a really cool rabbit. House trained. Don't know why he didn't kill himself after all the electric cords he chewed!:) He would stay in the yard until one day a damn dog got him.

I always thought him trying to get back into the album was a pretty cool picture! Many people had no clue what was cool about it, or who Lewis Carroll was. Or did he really write a children’s book while eating peyote soup?
