S&W M638.
I've owned and carried a M49/649 almost continuously since 1980 and have always wanted to get the Airweight version.
State of Ohio has a 2 week sales tax holiday that covers just about everything with individual cost up to $500.
Being retired LEO I qualified for the S&W Individual Officer program and I found that a local LEO dealer had 1 LEO designated M638 in stock so it was an easy decision.
Timing checked out perfectly, the barrel seems to be clocked properly, there was no crack in the frame below the barrel threads, the BC gap appeared to be good and the action was reasonably smooth for a brand new production revolver. So I was good to go.
Now if the dag gone heat & humidity would let up so I can get to the range to put some rounds through it.
