SIG P320 Discharges?

That is part of the reason why I never understood the whole MHS fiasco in the first place. In the grand scheme of things the handgun is relatively unimportant. Why end up spending nearly a billion dollars for a gun that is less durable, half as reliable in testing and now not nearly as monkey proof as what was already in service, especially considering there was a much cheaper refit and replacement offer.

I have one, in M18 configuration. You could consider my approach: Clean them well, put them up, and shoot something else for the time being.

Aa an engineer who's testified successfully as an expert witness in some important product liability matters I believe that to be an excellent assessment and display of critical thinking; but unfortunately, you should expect to be ridiculed for posting it.

The less lay persons actually understand, the more they try to show others that they know.

And yet, the inescapable fact remains that of all the available handgun options on the market, this is happening with only 1 specific brand and model, and it isn't even happening with that brand's other models. Why is that? I don't see where anyone is accepting anything as fact besides the fact that this is only happening with one specific pistol. The fact it is only happening with one specific pistol naturally prompts people to ask why and investigate the mechanics of the gun to seek answers. Isn't that exactly what should happen? Or should we just ignore the obvious correlation to a single common denomenator and write it off as the result of negligence... and accept that people are only being negligent with one model of pistol?
 
Ha...only the idiots react like that, must really take it personally. NO sympathy for idiots with guns. Get life and get off the computer, Educate yourself with reality .

Some P320s are going off in the holster (that is captured on video) and the manufacturer cannot explain it; that is adequate “proof” that the pistol is unsafe. Forensic analysis may be important for salvaging the company’s reputation, possibly for developing some modification to eliminate the fault, but is entirely superfluous to the immediate determination that the P320, today, is unsafe to carry with a round in the chamber.

Thaddeus B.: Interesting observation. Could it be that lawyers smelled "blood in the water" after a few of these claims and went into a feeding frenzy attacking a corporation with deep pockets? It would be interesting to see statistics as to unintentional discharges across all brands and models compared to this one.

Settle before it gets to court. Seems like proof of a defective design to me.
