Dealing with old vintage Ballards and such, the fading of skills like good stock-work, case coloring, engraving etc., is painfully obvious.
My friend who did these stocks is 84 this year I believe.
The engraving in the other picture should be something you’ll appreciate. It does not belong to me. It belongs to a member of this or the other S&W forum. Can’t recall which. But it makes my liver quiver ever time scroll past it in my photo album.

Wade, the only word is WOW! Your style is reminiscent of 19th Century work, and is absolutely outstanding! If you decide to offer your work, I have a couple of 1911 slides that are begging for some 'decoration!' Welcome and keep up the magnificent work!

Thanks, I have taught myself many styles so that I can try to give any gun a design that is appropriate for it's age and use.
