A plane went down over in Beaver County quite a few years back. The cleanup was awful to many of the crew. I knew a paramedic that volunteered. There were sheets in the trees. Human skin.

And a month from now (August 24) will be the 212th anniversary of us (well, the Brits, as there wasn't any "us" at that point) burning down the White House. The recent "invasion" of wildfire smoke is just a reminder of that. But 'cuz we're still hoping to be friends again, we're keeping the actual fires on our side of the border. For now...

Unfortunately the road going by my property used to be the scene of horrific toad massacres on warm summer nights when it rained. Road closure & toad patrol was definitely needed.
