Yup, but wavelength of light vs wavelength of sound. Things approaching are “blue shifted” - shorter wavelengths due to moving towards you. Things receding are “red shifted” for the opposite reason. Just like sound generating objects have a higher pitch as they approach and a lower pitch as they move away.
