Dumb question of the day. Can 9x18 be loaded with 9mm Luger dies?
Is there any way to adjust 9mm Luger or for that matter .380 auto enough to load 9x18 Makarov.
I'm thinking no but just thought I would ask before I buy some dies.

For your new CZ82, no doubt !! I bought separate Mak carbide dies for mine. I usually get very poor results when I start to tinker with things !!

The 9mm Makarov uses a larger diameter bullet and has a larger diameter cartridge than a 9mm Luger or .380. I'm afraid you'll have to get special dies for the 9m Makarov.

Yep, .380 and 9mm are .356" diameter - 9x18 Mak is .365" diameter so the dies (and the bullets) are not interchangeable. You can use the 9x18 dies and a case trimmer to convert 9mm brass to 9x18 Mak brass though.

Makarov is actually a 9.2mm and the components don't really match anything else.

Yep. I bought 500 rds of the Russian metal stuff to keep me busy for a while. Then I'll get some dies, brass and bullets
The problem is marking all the brass so I do not get it mixed up with .380 and 9mm. There is always a few that sneak in where they don't belong.
I can get some SB ammo that's reloadable but the primer pockets are a bit tight and a pain sometimes.

I shoot all three calibers just get use to using a felt marker on the base it will give you a easy way to separate calibers. I use a progressive press mixed brass is a real problem, a little extra effort on the front end, but it will save you a some trouble keeping things sorted out.

"Can" is an interesting word. Yes. It is possible to load 9x18 Mak rounds that will chamber and go bang using 9x19 dies. No. You cannot produce proper 9x18 Mak loads using 9x19 dies.

How did this thread rise to the top again?
I'm gonna buy some proper dies. Lee does not have a FCD for this caliber, I'm bummed.
