I used to use Kead Bullets exclusively. Great product and price but seems like he is nearly 9 mos behind on orders these days. I need to buy 2-3K more bullets for 38, 45 (and maybe some 9's.) ASAP. Looking for a source who has decent prices, good product and reasonable wait times. Can someone post (or PM) a solution?

I just purchased 10,000 from an outfit called Dardas Cast Bullets.
DARDAS CAST BULLETS
Hope the link works. He gave me a discount for a large order. Last year I bought from S&S Casting. I asked him about a discount and he never responded. So I looked all over the internet and Dardas was the best I found. I have only loaded and shot some .38 Specials. I just started loading some .45 ACP. I am very happy with the bullets. I ordered them in the middle of one week and had them the next week. Right now I am so pleased that I don't know if I will even look around next time.

I have two favorites: for velocities up to 1850 I go to Dave Jennings at Montana Bullet Works. For velocities over 1850, and all my large game bullets I go to Marshall Stanton at Beartooth Bullets. Both produce outstanding bullets within their specialty (each has a very unique bullet line for special purposes), and both will size to your requirements.

I have been going to use TNValleyBullets and just have never got around to it. I have been shooting Bayou Bullets and I am really digging them. I am shooting the 245gr .430 SWC.

As already mentioned, Dardas Cast Bullets are excellent. I have purchased 9mm, .45acp, and .380acp from Greg. Prices are excellent and service is also excellent.
I happen to live about 4 miles from him, so when I order I let him know that I will pick them up when they are ready. Usually about a week.
He does affer a volume discount of some amount. I normally don't order enough at one time to qualify.

+1 for Tennessee Valley. Would still be buying from him if I had not started to cast my own.

oregon trails lasercast, a bit expensive but if you call them they will sell you any amount you want. cabelas only sells them in boxes of 500 or 1000.

Georgia arms, has good cast bullets, as does Jessie at Tenn Valley Bullets. TVB has very good customer service.

Waldo, how fast have you been able to run the Dardas cast? Good looking bullets.

Wayne, I have just fired some in .38 special. Light target loads, 4.5 grains Unique. I very seldom shoot any handgun load over 900 or 1,000 FPS. I don't hunt and am mostly killing paper targets and an occasionally a can at the range. If you call and talk to Mr. Dardas, he is very friendly and helpful. I am sure he can tell you all about what alloys he uses and how fast he thinks his bullets will go. Thanks, Waldo

I buy from Missouri Bullet as well...good folks!

Pretty "local" for me!!
