What is you favorite Keith style .44 cast bullet?
Who is the manufacture your favorite .44 Keith style bullet that closely resembles Elmer's original driving bands, meplate, grease groove, etc. design?

Mine is an older Lyman 429421 4 cavity mold.
I have tried several variants in .44. It seems the ones that shoot the best, consistently, at both high and low velocity, are the ones with the widest (longest?) front driving band. This seems to matter more than round- or square-bottom lube grooves, in my experience.

I'd have to agree with the Hensley & Gibbs version being #1 and the later Lyman version with square grease groove #2.

I've tried the RCBS 250-K and the 429421 and I like the 429421 more mainly for the simple reason the 429 drops 10-15 grains lighter and punches the same size hole.

What is your favorite Keith style .44 cast bullet ?
I own an older Lyman #429421 as well as an RCBS #44-250-K and I find the RCBS
version is a bit more accurate in all my .44's, Specials (3), and Magnums (2).

The H&G 503 that I cast out of Linotype.
I use them for my top loads.
For my lighter loads I use Rucker 240gr SWC. Good bullets, but not "real" Keith SWC.
