I have HP-38 & IMR 700x. I can't find load data for this bullet powder combo. Any suggestions or point me to where I can find the load data would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the Help!

I load extreme (as well as a few other brands of plated bullets) just use the low to mid range data for the same weight/profile jacketed bullet. I load their 115 gr. at mid level jacketed velocities and they shoot UNBELIEVABLE!

I use Berry's 124 HP bullets, they should be very similar to the x-treme. found 700x load data for the Berry bullet. I'm away from my load books for a while, but I believe the IMR web site includes some Berry bullet load data.

Shootforum.com has bullet dimensions for many, many bullets. Helps in comparing your bullets to recipe bullets.

I have used w231 with the 115 at 1.12" oal and 124gr plated bullets at1.14" oal.

With the same amount of powder the 115 hit 1111 fps and the 124gr got 1074 fps.

Speer's Blazer target ammo runs about 1090 fps so the lower starting data for your powder should get you near these speeds.

If you don't have a chrony just try to get a nice target load that comes close to POA and let the games, begin.

PS;
the double dipped concave base is designed to be pushed faster if you have them. The light coated Flat base should be held under 1200fps. My top speed with the plated 124 is 1160 so far............with fast and med. fast powders.

HP38 is 231. Not similar, it's the same powder in a different jug, both made by Hodgdon. Loading data should be easy to come by for 231.
