.44 Magnum with Accurate #5
I scored, recently, some Accurate #5 powder; still no Unique, Power Pistol, Universal, 2400, 231/HP-38, etc. to be had. No Accurate #7 or #9 either . Tried it for .45ACP with 230 grain FMJ's in 1911A1's, an S&W 25-2, and an S&W 1917. Nice! I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this stuff in .44 Magnum with 250 grain Keith bullets. I'm not looking for a full-speed load. There doesn't seem to be any published data out there for this combo.

Send an email to Accurate and they will provide load data, within a few days usually. If you wanted to, you could make some pretty stout loads even with fast powders that are SAAMI compliant.

Thanks, shocker. I'll do that. Their published load data does not seem to include AA5 for the 250 Keith.

Accurate Arms offers a PDF manual on their website, maybe they have some loads listed there.

Since you're not looking for a full-speed load, have you considered starting with Accurate's 44 spl. load data for 240gr. lead bullets?
I pulled this data right from a PDF of their "Edition 3.5" manual, from page 6, under 44spl:
No.5 240 LC RN FP 6.1 757 6.8 860 14,000 1.480
Good luck,
Lou

I have data I got from them in the past including their Number 2 manual. The more recent data I got shows a reduction across the board. I believe this is due to them switching from the older CUP pressure standard to the newer PSI standard. I'll share the newer somewhat reduced loading data for now.
Accurate No 5 Data 8" Barrel
Bullet Weight 200 grs.
Start 12.6 grs 1250 FPS
Max 14.8 grs 1450 FPS
Bullet Weight 225 grs.
Start 12.5 grs 1200 FPS
Max 14.0 grs 1300 FPS
Bullet Weight 240 grs.
Start 11.5 grs 1075 FPS
Max 13.5 grs 1250 FPS
Bullet Weight 270 grs.
Start 9.7 grs 1025 FPS
Max 10.8 grs 1100 FPS
I am providing this for reference only. Please contact Accurate directly to confirm before loading anything.

The late Finn Aagaard stated when Accurate powders first came out that his go-to load for the 44 Mag and 240-250-grain SWCs was 11 grains of AA #5 and a standard LP primer.
I have since shot up several pounds of that powder with that exact load, and it is exceptional.

I just heard from the Western (Accurate) powder folks. Great response! The reply came in just a few hours! Seems like between their data and the suggestions from everyone here I'm good to go.
