Lucky you.......
I am still trying to get a pound of that powder.

What weapon, barrel length and bullets are you going to try out ?

Just about any published load data works well, I find that AC performs better at the upper end of the data. I'd share my data but since I shoot 9 major, it's already past the maximum so I better not. (just kidding, I shoot a 124 gr bullet with 6.8 gr of AC which gives me 1400 fps and a power factor of 173)

Autocomp is my new favorite for 9 and 40. I picked up a pound when I was getting low on Power Pistol and couldn't find any more. I have found 5.1 gr (Hornady 8th edition) is very accurate for me with both 115 gr and 180 gr target loads and meters very consistently through the powder measure. I have since found an 8# keg that should keep me going for a good long time!

" 1400 fps and a power factor of 173)" Yikes!!!

" 5.1 gr (Hornady 8th edition) is very accurate for me with both 115 gr and 180 gr target loads and meters very consistently" most excellent!

I have change to get 4# jug for $75 at my range. Maybe I'd better make a move.

Find I've moving more into 9 that ever thought I would...but the new Dillon Dies work so much better with my 650 than the ratty old econo set I had scavenged, my ammo is far more reliable spec than before.

Even have loaded some 147 TLFN cast for trials. So far my Sigs (P320/P229) seem to really like that too.

I got some autocomp from a buddy to load up some 147 grain 9mm.
With that large of a projectile , it did not take much. 3.7 grains for just shooting paper, and the occasional jug of water.

I've got to get enough velocity for it to make an audible on steel. Sounds like a honey of a load.

I bought some AC when powder was next to impossible to find. I load 9 & 40. It work well for me. For 9 I found the Hornady manual has the most load data.

I load 9mm with Autocomp a lot, I really like it, meters very good, shoots great. I use Hogdons recipes. 3rd Gen S&W's like it a lot.

I use it exclusively in my .38 Super (6.0 grains under a coated 125-grain cast SWC) and my .45ACP (6.4 grains under a "match-lubed" 185-grain cast SWC). It works great, burns clean and delivers great accuracy.

thanks for the range reports on suitability of AutoComp.

Now for finding some $ to complete my plan.

WAC works great in my 10mm and .357 keep in mind WAC is a "full power" powder burn rate is "around" AA No5. It performs better in the mid to full powder loadings.

Not a good choice for low-power .38 spec, .45 colt . Good for full power 9mm .40 and 10mm and .357

"Good for full power 9mm .40 and 10mm and .357"

thanks for the tip.....I'll be loading some of those before long
