New Auto Breech Lock Pro

I'd be interested in seeing what it was like once it came out. On the one hand, the bushings are kinda, "Eh, what happens when I want to switch calibers?". But it's not like I have a lot invested in the relatively cheap plates, and I could see using it just as a supplement to my turret.

I have a breech lock press and LOTS of bushings,:D

Yes, the turret plates would be more better, but have to wait and actually see the thing.

Cant wait to see one. Kinda looks like the Lee Classic Cast on steriods and paired with the Auto drum powder measure should be a winner. I have a nephew that has an interest in getting into reloading and I may try to get him to get this.

$5/bushing is gonna get expensive real quick, I have 11 of the 4 hole turrets. 44 x $5 = $220 for new bushings; I don't think so

I forgot to deduct for the powder measure so would only need about 34 instead of 44; but still..

I would probably just install and remove my dies from the bushings to avoid that expense. If anything replace the Lee lock ring with maybe Hornady locking rings.

Well, it's April 24th and I'm reviving this thread.

Just placed an order from Midsouth Shooters Supply for the press and 9mm shell plate ( can also use for 40 S&W ). Press on sale for $106.99 but must backorder. That's okay, since I don't really NEED this press anyway; but what the heck!!

Some videos on YouTube, interesting the way it's set up. I have plenty of powder measures, case feeders and safety primes. As much as I like my Pro 1000's, I always wanted to seat/crimp in separate steps, especially 9mm, 40 S&W and 45 acp. 38 Special not really necessary, IMO. Don't know when it will ship, but I need to clean up the reloading room anyway LOL.

Just a heads up to those who were awaiting the release/ship of the press.

One word: Load Master.
I need 5 stations and fairly high volume.
Okay, 2 words

It has gone "viral" on other forums. Like LEE made sliced bread or something? There are videos out now.

I just can not grasp not having a automatic priming on a progressive press?. The Lee safety prime on the turret is fine for my purposes but on a progressive?.

I guess if you have the bullet feeder and case feeder it will fly but sure looks like a lot of stuff going on. Kind Rube Goldberg:)

For the price maybe worth a try?

$150 with a bullet and casefeeder is a hell of a bargain.

Honestly, I kinda don't mind the Safety Prime. I've gotten really used to it on the turret, and it's certainly the most convenient priming system to refill.

Looks pretty good and the price is certainly right.
I wonder if it is even possible to visually verify the powder drop.
That would be my only concern. I like to look into the cases and make sure there is powder in the case - and that it looks consistent.

I agree. This is why I prefer a 5-station press. I load 357 cases with light charges of 231. You can’t see the charge easily in the case and when you can it’s hard to judge. A powder check die is a necessity if you can't visually check the drop.
