I was online looking for affordable bulk hard cast bullets for reloading 38 special/357 magnum and I ended up on Badman bullets website. I ordered 1000 of their 158gr. 38cal cast SWC. $94 bux with free shipping. Are there any other places I can try to find deals on bulk boolits that you guys can suggest?

I don’t think you will be disappointed. I’ve used their 45cal 200 grain RNFP. I also use Missouri. I like both companies coated bullets. You might also look at Bayou bullets, as I’ve heard good reports on them also.

I haven’t used them, but I may start. Those are some very nice looking bullets.

I've been using Badman bullets exclusively for my .44 mag and .357 mags.They are easy to load, don't foul the barrel . I haven't bought any hard cast , but I have been having great luck with the poly coated. You can push them to about 2200 FPS. Oh yes as the OP stated they ship really fast. The owner Patrick is really easy to deal with.

I can only speak with experience regarding their polymer coated bullets, i.e., .38/.357 158 SWC and 9 m/m 124 RN.

The 9's have functioned flawlessly in my Glock 19-5. The 38's are GTG. No lead fouling which is a big "plus" in my book. I load both in the 900 to 1100 fps area.

I've spoken with the owner, Patrick Reagan. Good people. Takes time to speak with you and respond (intelligently) to questions/concerns. He appears to be quite attentive to QA/QC.

I will be buying again from them.

A company that I have been dealing with for the last few years is SNS Casting ( snscasting ). I have loaded and fired literally thousands of their bullets in 9mm, .357, .40S&W, and .45acp. I first started buying hard cast bullets from them before polycoated bullets became mainstream. I was impressed by the fact that, unlike some other manufacturers, they always arrived properly lubed with no funny marks or deformed bullets. I don't remember ever having to discard one of their bullets. Anymore I only shoot polycoated because they have about a third or less smoke and I've never had any problems of any kind. They used to be a golden color but now they're red which seems to be popular with many suppliers. Their listed prices don't include shipping which is $8.45 up to 17lbs and $15 up to 70lbs. They also have a pretty good selection in .357. I really like their 130gr RNFP and 158gr SWC. They also sell sample packs of 100 to try out.

I’ve had good luck with Summers Enterprise and SNS. Summers is cheaper but selection of weights and styles is limited. Summers coating isn’t quite as smooth or pretty as SNS but accuracy is equal. Just got my first coated from Missouri last week. They were the only place I could find coated in 180gr. They performed great. Loaded some up to 1150fps and were very accurate and no leading. Went from cast lead to plated because plated were much cleaner but now shoot coated lead almost exclusively. Just as clean and accurate as plated and a lot cheaper

I received my order from Badman bullets and I'm overall impressed with the appearance & quality of the bullets. I loaded 100 today and the recipe I used is from Hodgdons website and is as follows;

158gr. cast LSWC
3.2gr starting load for TiteGroup up to a max of 3.8gr.
OAL is 1.475"

I used this recipe before using Hornady 158gr SWC and it worked fine out of my 4" 686. With the Badman cast SWC bullets the case mouth at the 1.475" cartridge overall length there is a .32" gap between the case mouth and the bottom edge of the bullet. I don't think there should be an issue with these tho.

I like lead bullets and have bought .32 caliber 115 grain RNFP, .357 caliber 125 grain RNFP, 158 grain RNFP and the 230 grain "flying telephone poles" bowling pin bullets. I have been very happy with all purchases from Mr. Reagan.

He will e-mail load data from one of the computer load simulators for anything he sells if you ask.

Yup, he answered my email and sent me some load data within 1 hour of me emailing him. wow, that was fast! And deeply appreciated. I'm off to reload some more boolits

I usually use Dardas, but one of my shooting Bud's gave e some Badman .38 Specials to try. I loaded them and they worked just fine. Over the years I've loaded Penn, Meister, Dardas, Zero, Oregon Trail, a few others I can't think of this moment and the Badman. I do not remember getting any that did not work just fine.
