hello everyone,
yesterday I reloaded cal 30 carbine ammunition for my Winch rifle, I only had CCI 450 SR mag primers, I used ramshot enforcer powder at 14.5 gr with 110gr bullets, including Is there a risk of overpressure with these primers?

My 2022 copy of the Hodgdon "Annual Manual" shows a starting load of 14.2 grains of Enforcer under a 110 gr. Sierra FMJ at 38,800 psi; going up to 15.8 grains at 43,200 psi. (p.124). Long ago Elmer Keith said he did not use magnum primers in handguns, even when loading 2400 in his beloved .44 Magnums, as they raised pressures in handgun cartridges by about 5,000 psi. Given that the .30 Carbine is more a handgun cartridge than a rifle cartridge, regardless of platform, I would say your proposed load is likely at or a bit above maximum recommended pressure, even with a book load which is not much above starting but capped by WSR primers. You could probably get away with it, given the built-in safety margins, but if it were me I'd probably pull the loads down and back off a bit more on the charge, especially if you intend them for a Winchester M1 Carbine, which are becoming increasingly valuable.

If you are on the ragged edge of safe pressure, switching to magnum primers might be an issue. If you are below maximum safe pressure, it's likely going to be just fine.
Not sure how Mr. Keith came by information of magnum primers increasing pressure by 5000 psi. That is a big jump in pressure, more than I think a change in primer would cause.

I just looked in the last Western Powders version I have (version 8.0) and they show 3 different loads with Enforcer and 110 grain bullets. Minimum loads range from 13.8 to 14.2 grains, depending on which bullet the load applies to. The max loads range from 15.3 to 15.8 grains. That puts your 14.5 grain load on the lower end of the propellant range, so I would have no problems shooting them or worries about overpressure due to the use of a magnum primer.
