looking for some good loads with this particular bullet. Would like to use IMR 7828 also.

Shooting it out of a 24" 700.

Anyone mind sharing your "home-work" ? ? ? :-)

Handload for .270 WSM

Sir:

I have not loaded the 130 grain Hornady SST bullet in .270 WSM. However, I have loaded the 130 grain Hornady Interbond bullet (Hornady Part No. 27309) caliber and it is by far the most accurate bullet I have ever shot in this caliber.

In my H-S Precision Pro Series 2000A with a 21" barrel, I load this bullet over 60.0 grains of Hodgdon H4350 in Winchester cases with a Winchester WLP primer. OAL cartridge length is 2.830".

This recipe provides me with an average MV of 3126 FPS and a low sd of 8 FPS. Three shot groups average (no kidding) 0.38" at 100 yards.
