Dave Chicoine @ Old West Gunsmith, is a possible help here.
He does restorations, so he has to get his parts somewhere.
I've got one of his resto's, and it's really well done. You can find him on the 'net by typing in Old West Gunsmith. When I called him, he was
a very gracious gentleman, kinda like the people here.
Hope that helps, TACC1.

Try Poppertsgunparts.com The hand spring is a small slightly curved single leaf spring. They seldom break, however you say yours is "missing?" Are the broken parts there. or nothing? These springs are easy to make by using a small piece of old alarm clock main spring, or ordering a package of generic small springs from Brownell's, etc and filing or cutting one to fit. Good Luck, Ed.

The GunPartsCorp (Numrich) catalog has pictures & parts diagrams for the .38DAs. You can probably look at it online. You can see what the spring looks like there, and with the hammer & hand out of your gun you can see what size spring will fit between them and do the job of pressing the hand against the cylinder to rotate it as the gun is cocked. If you're handy with tools, making and fitting a replacement spring is relatively easy. Ed.
